Operating out of three Fire Stations

The Bradford Township Volunteer Fire Department operates out of three fire stations, strategically located in three areas of the township which surround the City of Bradford on three sides. The population of Bradford Township is currently 4,800. Major industries located in the township include Zippo Manufacturing Company, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, Bradford Forest Products and Georgia Pacific and the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Equipped with some of the most advanced firefighting, rescue and hazardous material equipment in the country, Bradford Township volunteers currently answer on average 250 calls a year. Today, the Bradford City Fire Department along with other volunteer fire departments in the area, provide mutual aid to Bradford Township when requested.
