The Bradford Township Volunteer Fire Department continues to operate out of three fire stations, strategically located in each of the three areas of the township. The population of Bradford Township is currently 4,800. Major industries located in the township include Zippo Manufacturing Company, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, Bradford Forest Products and Georgia Pacific. Equipped with some of the most advanced firefighting, rescue and hazardous material equipment in the country, Bradford Township volunteers currently answer on average 250 calls a year. Today, the Bradford City Fire Department along with other volunteer fire departments in the area, continue to provide mutual aid to Bradford Township when requested.
